Source hierarchy and evidence types
| Evidence type | Use on this site | Limits |
|---|---|---|
| Peer-reviewed research / reviews | Mechanisms, terminology and material-specific observations. | One experimental system does not establish universal production behavior. |
| Authoritative technical chapters / university material | Background where the source and scope are identifiable. | Historical application statements do not establish current product availability. |
| Manufacturer product / technical pages | Current disclosed application categories, product families and supplier participation. | Supplier-specific performance claims are attributed, not independently endorsed. |
| Buyer frameworks | Original questions, evidence registers, test-plan and quote-normalization structures. | Recommendations need adaptation to the buyer’s platform and release procedures. |
For inaccessible papers, the assessed material is limited to public abstracts and indexed publisher excerpts, as described in the source index. Secondary market reports are not proof of a supplier offering.
Research and technical writing
The initial workflow was research, application scoping, distinct guide drafting, primary-source supplier verification, original diagrams and site QA. Content was prepared with AI assistance from public sources. No named expert review, laboratory validation or fab qualification is claimed.
- Answer the page’s distinct question near the top.
- Separate established principles from study-specific observations and supplier descriptions.
- Avoid numerical performance claims without a defensible context.
- Translate uncertainty into specific evidence or testing questions.
- Keep proprietary formulas, concentrations and inferred commercial recipes out of the content.
- Use original conceptual illustrations with scope and scale limits.
Supplier inclusion and factual scope
A supplier is included when its own current product or application material discloses a relevant CMP slurry offering. The initial directory is alphabetical, selective and explicitly not exhaustive. Fields without product-specific evidence are marked as requiring confirmation.
Sales coverage is distinguished from manufacturing sites; a public family listing is distinguished from a grade recommendation; participation is distinguished from qualification. Historical company names are not used to create duplicate suppliers.
Commercial independence
A supplier’s commercial relationship with the site will not determine technical conclusions or inclusion in independent comparisons. No paid listings, affiliate ranking, sponsored placement or RFQ service is active at launch.
If enhanced profiles, sponsorship or supplier introductions are introduced later, their commercial nature must be clearly labeled. Editorial sources, acceptance criteria and technical conclusions remain independent. Payment must not alter a technical conclusion or manufacture evidence.
Revisions, corrections and uncertainty
The date on a page records its source-review preparation date. It is not a promise of continuous monitoring or a claim that a human specialist reviewed every sentence. A substantive revision should recheck affected primary sources, update the relevant content and retain a private change record.
A correction assessment should record the page and passage, supporting evidence, source version and material impact. Until a site-owned correspondence channel is configured, no correction-submission form is represented as active. Site maintainers should establish that channel before inviting public submissions.
When sources conflict or evidence is limited, narrow the statement, attribute the disagreement or omit the claim. Do not replace an evidence gap with a fabricated recipe, performance value, price, capacity estimate or supplier ranking.
